Sonic 4 Episode 2 actually makes you wish that the next installment was on its way (adding Knuckles which was the trend that people playing 1 and 2 probably were expecting). I have always thought the 2D games for both Sonic and Mario were their respective bests. - by any chance will we see Sonic 3 and Knuckles on iOS anytime soon?

I love the game. But the lock on doesnt work. I even purchased both the iPhone and the ipad version of episode 1. Because this is sega and sonic Im calm about this. Just fix the lock on and the game will be perfect. I really wanna play episode metal. CD is my favorite sonic game.

I bought Sonic 4 episode 1 and 2 and followed the instructions on how to lock on but it didnt work even after I tried it like a thousand times. Among other things the controls are terrible especially in the special stages. I would highly recommend you play the console version instead.

Hello, the reason this got removed was because Lock-On did not work. It still does not work because apple does not want you to do it. Sorry for everyone who bought Sonic 4 E1 so they could use lock-on

I own both games and cant do this on iOS9. Please fix this SEGA.

So, first of thanks for bringing this game back, you da man. Second, Episode Metal sounds dope, but it doesnt work. I have Sonic 4 Ep 1 HD and the Lock in thing doesnt work, still a good game, but please fix this.

This game *needs* MFI controller support. Sonic 1, 2, and CD have it, but why not this game? Trying to play a platformer with touch controls is absolutely maddening. Game is utterly unplayable currently.

When I try playing multiplayer it wont work it says connecting and I waited for 5 minutes and it still doesnt work plz fix I like multiplayer

People have been having trouble with the lock on for months? Why cant SEGA do something about it? Please? Its a fun game, and I want to try the lock on.

The blue one with the swift feet is back at it again with a little reinforcement! He is aided by Tails the ultimate fox in this new and improved adventure with obstacles Sonic alone cannot bypass. In episode II of the 4th installment to the original Sonic game series, Sega surely delivered, as they should have. These designs are breath taking. Anyone who dislikes the designs of this game dislikes designs in general. Someone could say there are better designs in a more story-focused game like Sonic Unleashed or Sonic 06, but these designs are EQUAL. I have no problem with the homing attack in episode I, but the homing attack in this game is somewhat improved. I would like to state a point I made on my review of episode I, which is that this game is repetitive. I still see a merge of previous Sonic installments equaling this entire game. No matter! We are shown something new in this game, so why should I care about repetition? I enjoy what has been done here. This game still holds the tradition of addiction, which is a key component of every game ever. I also see a little that needs to be repaired. This review is 4/5 because of the repairs required. That is to the "More Games" button. It is broken. It is a pointless button! Fix the button, and I guarantee Sega will be rewarded handsomely. Not only more people getting games at the other side of the button... but this review will be 5/5.

Ok back when lock on worked I tried it and it would always crash, probably because I had a crappy iPad. Later when I didnt have a crappy iPad I found sonic 4 removed from the App Store. Its finally back and now it cant even do lock down. Maybe you should work on updating it instead of abandoning it like a 3 year old with a short attention span does to his toys
